Setting out Manager at Havelock One Interiors Role Summary The person will be responsible for coordinating and managing External and Internal Clients and Setting out team to ensure the smooth flow of the project manufacturing process and ultimately, client satisfaction balanced with quality and cost performance. Support divisional performance to continuously enhance service to clients and support efficiency improvement to maintain competitiveness and increase business activity. Support the functional head in planning activities, prioritizing deliveries in line with the strategic plan, and overseeing day to day management and planning of setting out resources and processes to attend to commitments to achieve continuous improvement in process efficiency. Client communication, as well as internal communications with other concerned functional areas with the intention to collaborate, coordinate information and needs of running projects. Role Description - Manage and oversee the effective management of assigned projects - Review project details and guide and steer the setting out team processes of material submissions, procurement, shop drawings development, prototyping, manufacturing delivery - Review and management of the Shop drawings preparation and submittal process - Lead and manage coordination with the production departments, checking materials allowed details and oversee clearance for variations internally and with clients - Review specifications of the project and obtain clearance for discrepancies - Oversee and manage material procurement and planning so that all materials arrive before production is commenced - Identification of RFI's and managing the process with clients - Oversee the sourcing of hardware accessories and optimizing where possible - Oversee the timely project drawings approval process - Provide guidance and manage the issuance to factory of cutting lists, loading lines - Coordination with site team and setting out for getting timely site surveys - Interpret contractual works requirements and obligations - Oversee follow up of project-related procurement - Preparation of Projects Status report - Forward planning schedules and forecasts for cutting lists issuance to manufacturing Candidate Requirements - Minimum of ten years similar experience in a manufacturing setup - Track record and experience in all aspects of joinery setting out from site survey, preparing manufacturing shop drawings, and cutting lists, through to material take off and ordering - Sound knowledge of manufacturing procedures and common joinery materials including timber, boards, veneers, laminates, and hardware - Very strong technical and execution capabilities with the ability to solve/provide guidance on technical issues - Well versed in Autodesk Products and Microsoft Office applications - Familiar with FSC, Leed requirements, FR standards - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Good organizational skills, dynamic personality to manage a fast-moving environment - Team player, good team mentor and organizational skills - Experience in managing a team of 15 to 20 members
