Director – Cost Estimation (Major Infrastructure)

Our client, a leading international Project Management Consultancy (PMC), is seeking an experienced Director (Cost Estimation) to lead the estimating function on a major infrastructure programme in the UAE. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished professional with extensive experience delivering cost estimation and cost planning for large, complex infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead and develop the cost estimation function across major infrastructure programmes. ✅ Establish estimating methodologies, cost models, benchmarking and governance processes. ✅ Provide strategic cost advice throughout planning, design, procurement and project delivery. ✅ Lead value engineering, cost optimisation and risk analysis activities. ✅ Develop and review project budgets, cost plans and investment estimates. ✅ Build, mentor and manage a high-performing estimating team. ✅ Present cost strategies and recommendations to executive stakeholders. Candidate Requirements: ✅ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline. ✅ Professional qualifications such as MRICS, FRICS, AACE or equivalent are highly desirable. ✅ Minimum 18 years' experience in cost estimation on major infrastructure projects. ✅ Demonstrated experience leading estimating teams on complex, high-value programmes. ✅ Strong background in transportation, heavy civil engineering or major infrastructure developments. ✅ Excellent leadership, commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills. ✅ Previous experience within a programme management consultancy or client-side environment is advantageous. ✅ Experience working on major international or GCC infrastructure programmes is preferred.
