Investment Accounting Specialist

We are currently partnering with a leading government entity in Abu Dhabi seeking an experienced UAE National Investment Accounting Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and IFRS, preferably gained within an investment-focused organization or financial institution. Key Responsibilities: - Manage investment accounting activities, including reconciliations, valuations and financial reporting. - Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards. - Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. - Monitor investment portfolios and ensure accurate recording of investment transactions. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing, audits and financial controls. - Collaborate with investment and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial oversight. Requirements: - UAE National with a Family Book. - 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within investment management, financial services, sovereign wealth funds or government-related entities. - Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting and accounting principles. - Previous exposure to investment portfolios, financial instruments or investment accounting is highly desirable. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. - Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CA would be an advantage.
