Contracts & Commercial Engineer

Position: Contracts & Commercial Engineer Key Responsibilities: - Draft contractual correspondence with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. - Review subcontractor invoices and recommend payment certificates. - Prepare project budgets, cost reports, management reports, and final accounts. - Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, BOQ breakdowns, and commercial proposals. - Attend commercial meetings and prepare meeting minutes. - Coordinate with the Tender Department on rates, variations, and cost proposals. - Manage RFQs, subcontractor prequalification, evaluations, negotiations, and subcontract agreements. - Monitor IPA/IPC logs, payment certificates, and the release of bonds. - Coordinate with project teams to ensure commercial compliance and support legal matters when required. - Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with contractual and company requirements. Requirements: - 6–8 years of experience in contracts and commercial management - Exceptional technical assessment and analytical skills - In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and subcontracting practices - Strong negotiation and communication skills - Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently
