KBM Engineering Consultancy is looking to hire a qualified professional for the following position: Position: Contract Engineer Location: To be discussed Minimum Education, Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain Management or related discipline Certification: Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain or Contract Management (preferred) Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract administration, procurement, contract management or supply chain operations Requirements: Strong analytical and communication skills, proficient in MS Office, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Conditions: Candidate must be consultant's direct employee, not outsourced Candidate must be assessed and approved by the IPC department Candidate must be an Omani national Key Responsibilities: Review contract documents, specifications and contractual correspondence Prepare, draft and administer contracts, amendments and change orders Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with contractual obligations Support review of claims, Extension of Time requests and contractual obligations Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies Assist in tendering, bid evaluation and contract award activities Manage claims, variations, disputes and contract close-out processes Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Finance and Legal teams on contractual and tendering matters Maintain contract records, databases and documentation Monitor contract milestones, deliverables and payment applications Ensure compliance with OETC policies, procedures and contractual requirements Key Skills & Knowledge: Contract Management, Commercial Awareness, Risk Assessment, Negotiation, Claims & Variation Management, Documentation & Reporting, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving
