Freelance CAD Manager

We're Hiring: Freelance CAD Manager - Travel is a must. Pico is looking for an experienced Freelance CAD Manager to lead our technical drawing function, ensuring every exhibition stand, event structure, and interior fit-out is accurately detailed and ready for production. This role requires flexibility to travel to project sites across the region as needed. What You'll Be Doing: - Lead and review all CAD and technical drawings across multiple live projects. - Translate creative concepts into accurate, fabrication-ready working drawings. - Manage, mentor, and support a team of CAD Designers and Technicians. - Ensure all drawings comply with structural, material, and fabrication standards. - Work closely with Design, Production, Project Management, and Site Teams to resolve technical challenges. - Coordinate technical requirements on-site to support successful project delivery. - Review technical specifications and drawing packages before production release. - Drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement throughout the CAD process. What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline. - Proven experience as a CAD Manager or Senior CAD Designer within the exhibitions, events, or interior fit-out industry. - Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, and other relevant CAD software. - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, structural detailing, and fabrication processes. - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects. - Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites when required. - A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
