We're Hiring – Manager Imports & Accessories Location: Superhighway, Scheme 33, Karachi. Job Responsibilities: ✓ Manage sourcing and procurement of accessories, trims, and packaging materials from local and international markets. ✓ Handle end-to-end import operations including documentation such as PO, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and Letter of Credit (LC). ✓ Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, banks, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipments and customs clearance. ✓ Monitor import schedules, shipment tracking, and resolve logistics or supply chain delays proactively. ✓ Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and commercial agreements to achieve cost-effective procurement. ✓ Conduct vendor sourcing, evaluation, registration, and credibility assessments for local and overseas suppliers. ✓ Ensure timely sampling, testing, approvals, and quality compliance as per production and customer requirements. ✓ Maintain procurement records, costing sheets, inventory data, and import documentation accurately. ✓ Coordinate with merchandising and production teams for order execution, artwork approvals, and material planning. ✓ Ensure smooth LC processing, payment coordination, and compliance with banking procedures. ✓ Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and service performance. ✓ Ensure compliance with EOU/EFS regulations and all applicable import/export laws and procedures. ✓ Support ROI-driven sourcing initiatives, cost optimization, and process improvement strategies. Qualification & Skills: • MBA (or equivalent). • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (in merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, or imports within the textile industry). • Strong experience in import sourcing, costing, and vendor negotiations. • Excellent knowledge of accessories (threads, labels, tags, bands, cartons, polybags, etc.). • Strong ERP and documentation skills. • Strong knowledge of import procedures, shipping documentation, LC handling, and customs regulations. • Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of EOU and EFS systems is essential. • Candidates with international travel exposure and supplier visit experience will be preferred. • Proven experience in dealing with international suppliers and global sourcing markets.
